Since our inception in the USA in 2007, we staffed Spengler Industries with a talented team who conceptualize, develop and test fine metal roofing and wall cladding products. Our products are made to be easily understood and installed. We engineer each piece to last. You can expect waterproof and maintenance-free roofing for the life of the material. Spengler Industries manufactures our German-engineered systems in the U.S.A.
We come from a legacy of European metal roofing masters whose work has lasted leak-free, maintenance-free and beautifully for hundreds of years. We know this because we are board certified in restoration and reconstruction and are responsible for many of the castles and cathedrals and other works of architectural art you’ve likely seen on your travels. Holding several advanced trade degrees earned in Germany, our company president, Erno Ovari, is one of the most decorated, credentialed and innovative roofing masters in his field in the world. Taking the best of the Old World techniques and synergizing them with the most cutting edge innovations, we hope to leave a legacy of engineering and beauty that lasts for generations.
We build our designs to last. Generations will appreciate the care taken with each project.
When you select our products, you choose the most environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient materials for your project.
We take pride in our work. Our talented team details every project with precision. We hope to pass that skillset onto the next generation of professionals.
We tackle any challenge! Whether you're facing weather, climate, custom designs and products, our system has the solution.
When our company founder, Erno Ovari, came from Germany, he couldn’t believe the level of roofing craftsmanship in the United States. Clients paid professionals for poor product quality and installation that required additional maintenance. The industry suffered and sustainability issues presented a problem. From a moral standpoint, he couldn’t stand by and watch people get robbed. He wanted to improve, not only the quality of roofing, but the safety issues and the aesthetic appeal.
“Du hast erst verloren, wenn du aufhörst es zu versuchen.”
Metal roofs are often associated with concerns about cost, noise, denting, aesthetics, heat retention, and lightning risk. However, many of these concerns are based on myths or can be addressed with accurate information and proper installation.
Metal roofing may have a higher upfront cost compared to other roofing materials like asphalt shingles. However, when considering factors such as longevity, reduced maintenance costs, energy efficiency, increased home value, insurance discounts, and lower lifetime costs, metal roofs offer significant long-term savings.
The perception that metal roofs are noisier during rain or hail storms is a common misconception. The noise level primarily depends on proper insulation during installation, and metal roofs are not inherently noisier than other types of roofs when installed with adequate insulation.
Metal roofs can be susceptible to denting if hit by large hailstones or heavy objects. However, there are solutions available to address dents, and the overall protection against leaks and damage provided by metal roofs is unmatched. Certain metal roofing systems are specifically designed to withstand hail damage effectively.
Some people may have concerns about the appearance of metal roofs, especially if they have a more traditional or rustic architectural style. However, modern metal roofing systems come in a variety of styles, finishes, and colors to cater to diverse aesthetic preferences. There are options available that suit both traditional and contemporary designs.
Metal roofs, when properly insulated and equipped with reflective coatings, can be energy-efficient and help reduce cooling costs. While metal may feel hot to the touch, its thin nature and properties like lower thermal conductivity and higher reflectivity make it less prone to conduct and absorb heat compared to thicker materials like slate.
Metal roofs do not attract lightning strikes more than other roofing materials. In fact, metal roofs are designed to safely disperse the electrical charge associated with lightning strikes. The conductive properties of metal allow it to act as a Faraday cage, effectively shielding the interior space from external electromagnetic fields.
Absolutely not! Here are some reasons why:
It’s important to note that regular inspection and maintenance, such as removing debris and addressing any damage promptly, can further enhance the longevity and corrosion resistance of metal roofs. By choosing high-quality materials, employing proper installation techniques, and performing routine maintenance, metal roofs can provide long-term protection against rust and corrosion, ensuring their durability and aesthetic appeal over time.
When it comes to rust and corrosion, the longevity and durability of metal roofs are dependent on the type of metal used and proper maintenance. At our company, we exclusively fabricate metal roofs using materials meant to last a very long time. Moreover, we understand the importance of selecting the right metal for the specific environment. For areas near the ocean or in more polluted environments, we provide special marine-grade options that offer enhanced resistance to corrosion.
When properly installed, our roof systems require virtually zero maintenance. Here’s why:
